Rabbi Charles Arian, Gaithersburg, Maryland, has been a Hillel director, a think tank scholar, and a pulpit rabbi. He spent four years in Israel during which he served as a member of the executive for the World Union of Mapam. In the United States, he has been a board member of Americans for Progressive Israel - Hashomer Hatzair and of Meretz USA.
